Hi there! My name is Jerrica Ching and I use she/her pronouns. I identify as a cisgender female, and am a fourth-generation Chinese American, born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. I moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2011.
I am currently licensed in three states; I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC – LH60857196), and a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT – LF61023668) in the state of Washington, licensed professional counselor (LPC – C5880) in the state of Oregon, and a licensed mental health counselor (MHC-837) in the state of Hawaii.
I am a certified child mental health specialist (CMHS), and an Asian Pacific Islander mental health specialist (APIMHS). All of these licenses and certifications mean that I have completed additional training on ways to address problems occurring within the context of a relationship sibling, whether that is between a parent and child, siblings, partners, or multigenerational households.
I graduated from George Fox University with a Master of Arts in Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling. I have extensive experience working with clients of all ages. In addition to my work as a mental health provider, I am an AAMFT Clinical Fellow, AAMFT Approved Supervisor, and Oregon Board approved LPC and LMFT Supervisor. These designations allow me to provide clinical supervision to post-graduate associate counselors.
When I am not doing clinical work, you can find me tending to my house plants and hydroponic garden, cuddling with my cats, baking sweets or cooking pasta dishes, and camping.
