Counseling

I provide individual and family counseling for children, adolescents, and young adults. I primarily specialize in depression, grief/loss, stress management, anxiety, adjustment, life transitions, ADHD, and parent training. I incorporate several different therapeutic techniques to help you reach your treatment goals.  I provide treatment using methods and techniques from Person-Centered Therapy, Attachment Based Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Child Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT).  I will often weave age-appropriate expressive activities such as art, toys, books, writing, and games for clients of younger ages, as this promotes a welcoming and supportive environment for all.  You can learn more about me by reading my professional disclosure statement here. Counseling is meant to be helpful and healing, and a time that you can look forward to.

During our time together, we will focus on experiences of the past and in the present, in order to help shape the goals and plans for the future. I will assist you and/or your child/family with identifying goals, exploring ways to achieve these goals, and maintaining the gains made, once these goals are accomplished.

We start with an initial intake assessment which typically lasts 50-60 minutes. A self-assessment packet, as well as other pertinent information regarding LifeStance Policies and Procedures, will be sent to you via client portal. This paperwork must be completed and submitted prior to your assessment, as it helps me understand the bigger picture of you or your child’s current needs. During the assessment we will determine your treatment goals, establish a diagnosis, and develop an individual treatment plan catered to your needs. Follow up appointments are typically 40-50 minutes in length.

I am currently paneled with several insurance boards including: Aetna, Beacon, Cigna, First Choice, Kaiser, Humana, LifeWise, Moda, Pacific Source, Providence, Regence Blue Cross, UBH/PBH Optum, and Wellpoint. You are highly encouraged to contact your insurance provider prior to scheduling your initial appointment, to ensure that you have the most up-to-date coverage. You are responsible for any copayments or deductible for your insurance.
